On qualitative GIS in the classroom
On Monday, I delivered a short presentation based on the GIS course that I offered in the spring. The three-day conference is the Qualitative GIS conference, sponsored by WISERD at Cardiff University. In particular, I sought to discuss the changing/shifting contexts of the GIScience classroom.
It has been great to catch up with other GIS friends at the small, 20ish-person conference, including Mei-Po Kwan, Marianna Pavlovskaya, Seraphim Alvanides, and Muki Haklay, as well as connect with a fascinating geographer/technologist in New Zealand, Chris McDowall.
